YOUNG VINNIES IN ACTION 2017/2018!
ST THOMAS MORE - MUMS AND BUBS PROJECT
A school wide call out for donations of items for new mothers and their babies resulted in so many nappies, clothes, bottles, wet wipes, toys, books, baby food, baby wash, laundry liquid etc that it filled six sacks! These items were distributed to a range of charities including Pregnancy Choice and Te Tuinga Whanau.
AQUINAS COLLEGE - BOOKS & 
BISCUITS FOR BROOKFIELD SCHOOL PROJECT
Aquinas College Young Vinnies held a bake sale and a sausage sizzle to raise money to buy a decorated Christmas tree biscuit and a book to give to EVERY child at the low decile Brookfield School -Schools helping Schools!
ST MARY'S SCHOOL & AQUINAS COLLEGE YOUNG VINNIES - SHOES FOR 
FEET PROJECT
In winter families of St Mary's School and the greater community donated good quaity second hand shoes for children without winter shoes. These were given to schools that indicated that had children arriving at school without footwear. Aquinas College students delivered the shoes to the schools and paired each child up with a well fitting shoe!

FOR THE HOMELESS
St Joseph's did an amazing job gathering donations of hats, scarves, jackets, toiletries, sleeping bags and duffle bags to provide to homeless people living in our community - good works Young Vinnies!

PUPPY APPEAL
Young Vinnies supported the Blind Foundation by baking and decorating cookies to raise money for the appeal. Our own Young Vinnies Coordinator got in on the fun dressing up as a puppy!
CHRISTMAS BOXES
Last Christmas Young Vinnies at St Joseph's Paeroa, Aquinas College and St Mary's School all decorated boxes and filled them with toys and food for families that could not afford to give gifts at Christmas time.
FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE
The Young Vinnies at St Joseph's in Matamata performed songs and shared school work with the Friendship Circle which is run by the Catholic Women's League and provides an outing for elderly people at rest homes.
